Uriah Bell @ TranScriptions

TranScriptions is a radically inclusive space for queer creative expression! Read a poem, play a song, spit a rhyme, bust a move, tell a joke... Sept. 9 features the unapologetically opinionated, outspoken, sometimes shy, black, gay and at times crazy Uriah Bell! Uriah founded Rising Voices Press in 2009 to publish new and upcoming minority GLBT writers and to continue the fight for literacy in the black community. As he says on UriahBell.com: "My goal is to make poetry tangible. I want to be the people's poet." His poetry collections include the very personal "Mood Swings" and "epiphany: poems in the key of love" with its poignant discoveries about the elements of love. - Bring your words . . . it's open mic! - Indulge in our vegan bake sale! - TranScriptions is for queer and trans folks -- and for YOU.
